Bruce
D'Ambrosio: Founder and CEO
Bruce
founded DigitalScirocco – his third start-up – and serves as the
company’s CEO.
Previously, he founded CleverSet, a technology leader in the rapidly
growing field of automated personalization engines, used to optimize
e-commerce experiences by presenting visitors with relevant
recommendations and information. CleverSet was acquired by ATG (Art
Technology Group) (NASDAQ: ARTG) in early 2008 for approximately $9
million in cash.
He also founded Prevision, a technology firm focused on decision
analysis and strategy software. Prevision was acquired in 1997 by Fair
Isaac, now FICO (NYSE: FICO).
In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, Bruce is a computer
scientist. He holds an emeritus faculty position in computer science at
Oregon State University, where he focused on probabilistic methods in
artificial intelligence, machine learning, and real-time behavior
modeling.

Matthew McLaughlin: VP of Engineering
Matthew
serves as vice president of Engineering. Previously, he was CTO and vice
president of engineering at RedRover Software where he guided and
implemented all strategic engineering activities. He was also a
co-founder of Music Strands, now MyStrands, a successful recommendation
engine provider where he designed, implemented, and patented the
original algorithms for the recommendation engine.
Matthew has also held technology positions at Accenture Technology
Labs, Tektronix and LSI Logic. He holds a master’s degree in Computer
Science with a specialty in Recommender Systems from Oregon State
University.

Michael Wellman: Technical Adviser
Michael
is professor and associate chair of Computer Science and Engineering,
at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His research has focused on
computational market mechanisms for distributed decision-making and
electronic commerce.
Michael was chief market technologist for TradingDynamics, now part of
Ariba, where he designed configurable auction technology for dynamic
business-to-business commerce. Michael has also served as chair of the
ACM Special Interest Group on Electronic Commerce (SIGecom) and as
executive editor of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research.
He is a Fellow of the Association of the Advancement of Artificial
Intelligence and the Association for Computing Machinery and holds a
doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for his work
in qualitative probabilistic reasoning and decision-theoretic planning.

Otis Kimzey: Sales Manager
Otis comes to DigitalScirocco with previous experience at multiple
startups in the Seattle area. With a focus on customer satisfaction
Otis is able to ensure new customers are finding the right solution
to best serve their needs.
He has previously worked with Bruce while building the business at CleverSet.
While at CleverSet Otis and the sales team were able to build the active
customer base from three to over eighty when they were acquired by ATG.
In his free time Otis hasn't found a sport he doesn't enjoy.
From the field, to the court, to the fairway (or rough) he is
always game for a friendly challenge.
